October: Go the Distance

It’s That Time of Year Again

And I’m not talking about Christmas (but it’s pretty close!)
It is the beginning of the school year! I have been busy getting my homework schedule in order for the past few days but now I am back! I have been fairly anonymous up until now, but I think today I will share a little bit about myself.

This is me.
I’m seventeen and starting my second year of college.  I am currently going for a degree in computer science so I can maybe one day be involved in writing code for video games. I am still on the fence about my future career choice, and am also considering a career in writing sci-fi or fantasy fiction or perhaps a career in nutrition.

Web design is another interest of mine (It just occurred to me that I didn’t even design my own blog…). As some of you may have realized, I am a World of Warcraft addict (for the horde!). I work at a pizza franchise as your basic pizza assembler.

Anything else you want to know? Maybe if it’s something I feel like sharing, I’ll answer!

This term I am taking Integral Calculus, Computer Science, Technical Writing, and Physics 1. Sounds like a blast, right?

With school taking up a chunk of my time, I find myself struggling to pack things for lunch! So far I have packed a sandwich and a can of mountain dew. Definitely not the ideal healthy lunch, but it got the job done.
Homework for the week: brainstorm lunch ideas and find a way NOT to starve in the meantime. Oh, and calculus. X.X

Share something about yourself, or share a delicious, easy, healthy, portable lunch idea!

  1. Yay! I'm happy you posted some pics of yourself. You are beautiful! :)
I struggle with the whole portable-healthy-lunch thing myself. In fact yesterday I made a PB sandwich because I was going to be at a training all day and didn't know if they had a fridge or kitchen area. Lots of times I just end up eating left overs from the night before. Today I am taking some sweet potato fries from last night and an avocado.
I'm glad you shared some things about yourself. Good luck in school this semester!

  2. You are so pretty! I was hoping that you would someday tell us more about yourself :)
Gosh you courses sounds so hard to me! I am more of a fine arts type of girl...
Where do you live? I mean, not like your address...hehe but what part of the country are you in?
It seriously is hard to make time for healthy food during school. I'm on campus from 9-6pm today and all I packed was 2 apples...so I'm going to have to find something in the food court!

  3. I love learning new things about people - I can't believe you are only 17!

Something about me - I wish I could go back and major in something I loved instead of something I just thought would make a good career. Whatever you do, follow your heart!

  4. Thanks you guys! :) Making me blush!

@journeytobodyzen: That sweet potato fry idea is a good one. Next time I make those I should make extra to take in my lunch!

@Sonia: I'm an Oregonian and have been for my whole life. My time on campus really isn't that long (about 4-5 hours on a 'long' day) but I have an hour break right in the middle and I am always hungry!

@fancythatfancythis: I try to follow my heart, but it is not quite sure what it wants yet ;)
